experienced and knowledgeable talent in the Identity Management industry.
As CEO, Mark leads the strategic vision and business development efforts for Beacon. He brings more than 18 years of consulting experience to the business, spanning large-scale commercial, defense and government projects. Prior to Beacon, Mark was at Sun Microsystems, where he led global enablement efforts for the company's identity management partner program, and established the first expert services consulting team. Mark joined Sun from Waveset, where his roles included worldwide partner development and enablement, as well as global customer account management. He has also held project management and professional services positions with Lockheed Martin, the Department of Defense, the Department of Energy, Boeing, Exxon Mobil Corporation and Shell Oil, among others. Mark has a B.S. in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. in Management Information Systems and Management from the University of Houston. He obtained his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in 1997. Mark is a McCombs School of Business Moot Corp Competition judge and member of Rotary International.
Chris Gossett, President & CTO
Chris drives product innovation and development related to Beacon's leading-edge service and solution offerings. With more than 15 years in the IT industry, his experience ranges from early stage startups to large public and private institutions. Chris joined Beacon from Sun Microsystems where he played a key role in shaping the company's industry-leading identity management deployment methodology, impacting upwards of hundreds of customers worldwide. Prior to Sun, Chris was a founding member of the engineering and professional services teams at Waveset, where he led numerous successful identity management deployments at Fortune 1000 companies, including Fidelity and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway. Chris joined Waveset from IBM/Tivoli, where he developed products for the company's identity management portfolio. Chris has a B.S. in computer science from St. Edwards University.
John Gutkowski, Vice President, Sales
As vice president of sales, John brings more than 20 years of IT consulting experience to his position. Prior to Beacon, he spent seven years with Sun Microsystems and Waveset Technologies, where he played a lead role in more than 100 successful customer deployments, addressing issues of provisioning, compliance and cost reduction for Fortune 500 customers in financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, as well as several federal agencies. Prior to Waveset, John was a practice manager for Predictive Systems where he led network engineering teams responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of global LAN/WAN infrastructure services for leading financial institutions. John joined Predictive from CompuCom Systems, where he helped companies integrate and streamline diverse network and systems monitoring products into centralized NOC solutions. He has a B.S. in computer science from the Rochester Institute of Technology and has been a frequent speaker and panel moderator for numerous identity management industry events.
Kevin Lampert, Chief Engineer
As Chief Engineer, Kevin oversees Beacon's technical team responsible for optimizing the implementation of clients' identity management solutions. He brings more than 16 years of software integration experience in enterprise infrastructure environments, recent examples of which include Fidelity Investments, GE, and Lockheed Martin. Kevin joined Beacon from Sun Microsystems via its acquisition of Waveset Technologies where he was an early member of the company's identity management engineering team. His primary responsibilities included developing product functionality, participating in architecture reviews, and engineering prototypes in support of customer POCs. Prior to Waveset, Kevin was an independent software consultant for BMW North America, where he evaluated and implemented provisioning products. Kevin started his career with IBM Global Services where he was a middleware integration consultant for organizations such as Kmart, 3M, Norwegian Tax Authority, State of Ohio, and Bank of Peru among others. He holds a B.B.A. in computer information systems from the University of North Texas. He is also a Sun Certified Identity Management Solution Architect and a Sun Certified Identity Manager Implementation Specialist.
Sean Flynn, Chief Architect
As Chief Architect, Sean is responsible for developing industry-leading deployment methodologies and best practices to optimize clients' identity management investments. Sean has more than 14 years of experience as a systems analyst and technical strategist in areas including identity management, system architecture, information architecture and application architecture, among others. Most recently he was lead architect of managed services at Surgient, where he developed packaged solution offerings and best practices for hosting and provisioning in virtual environments. Sean joined Surgient from Vignette Corporation, where he was a principal consultant in advanced services responsible for developing website globalization and content management strategies for customers. Sean has a B.S. in biomedical science and an M.B.A. from Texas A&M University. He is also a Sun Certified Identity Management Solution Architect and a Sun Certified Identity Manager Implementation Specialist.
